The holidays are coming! What should you avoid feeding your furry friends?
Happy impending holiday season from your friends at Frankie & Theo's!Β We found it important to share some of the foods that aren't helpful to feed your beloved pets not just during this time of the year--but year-round.

ππΎ Holiday Foods That Arenβt Pet-Friendly
The holidays are full of delicious treats β but not all of them are safe for our furry friends. While itβs tempting to slip them a taste from your plate, here are some common holiday foods to avoid giving cats and dogs:
π« Chocolate & Sweets β Toxic to both cats and dogs, especially dark chocolate.
π« Onions, Garlic, Chives β Can damage red blood cells and cause serious health problems.
π« Bones β Cooked turkey/chicken bones can splinter and cause choking or internal injuries.
π« Grapes & Raisins β Even small amounts can cause kidney failure in dogs.
π« Alcohol β Even a sip is dangerous; it can cause vomiting, tremors, or worse.
π« Xylitol (artificial sweetener) β Found in sugar-free gum and baked goods; highly toxic to pets.
π« Fatty or Greasy Foods β Ham, turkey skin, or gravy can lead to pancreatitis.
β Safe Alternatives: Share a little plain cooked turkey, some green beans, or a small bite of pumpkin (no spices, no sugar). Better yet β spoil them with a special holiday pet treat made just for them!
Remember: Our pets rely on us to keep them safe. Keeping human treats out of reach means more happy, healthy holidays together.
